Drea has always been a creative at heart with a background that spans the arts. She graduated from culinary school, sings, plays guitar, and even once painted and sold custom portraits as a side gig. Before stepping into the barbering world, she worked over 20 jobs across a wide range of industries, from kitchens to call centres, each experience shaping her adaptability, creativity, and connection with people.

Her path into barbering developed organically. What began as casually cutting family and friends’ hair eventually evolved into learning on herself after struggling to find a stylist who could bring her vision to life in a way that reflected her identity. Through experimentation and persistence, she created the signature short hairstyle she is now known for. After completing hair school, she committed fully to barbering, cultivating her craft in well respected Toronto salons and barbershops. Her diverse background, including time in the corporate world, also built a strong foundation in professionalism, organization, and client care. These experiences shape her approach today by blending creativity with structure.

Now a seasoned barber with over 15 years of experience, including 8 years as the founder and co owner of Bloc East, a Toronto based salon. She later established MON.DRÉ Studio, a private space designed to step away from the pace of a traditional salon and offer a more personal, one on one experience. Her approach to grooming is thoughtful and elevated with a deep understanding of individual style.

MON.DRÉ Studio reflects Drea’s evolution. It brings together her experience, creativity, and years of work into one cohesive environment centred on helping each client discover and define their individual style. The name itself is deeply personal, combining her son Monaco’s name with her own, Andrea, symbolizing both her craft and what matters most to her.

With a considered approach and a natural eye for detail, Drea creates an experience where every client feels at ease, confident, and well taken care of from beginning to end.
